The instrument is equipped with three workstations. The test performed with this instrument it is performed by placing the sample into the compartment (250 mm x 250 mm x 220 mm) and then fixed between the upper flange and the lower gasket that delimits the test area. Subsequently, pressurized water is injected on the area test of ​​diameter 100 for a given time. A high-precision valve controls the pressure displayed by the pressure gauge. The structure has 3 samples to be tested simultaneously. All parts in contact with water are in stainless steel. On the front of the machine there are the taps (input-output) and the top panel 3 graduated burettes for measuring the volume of water. The test is positive when the water is not absorbed by the product in question; in this case the volume of water contained in the burette will remain constant. Otherwise, you will notice a decrease in volume in the burette. This means that the sample has absorbed water.
